Manuel Noya

Manuel Noya likes to define himself as a researcher turned entrepreneur. BSc Chemical Engineering (USC, Spain) and MSc Materials Science (UPM, Spain). His key areas of know-how are technology scouting, competitive intelligence, NPD (new product development), and early-stage startups.

Cofounded Linknovate in May 2012 in Palo Alto and went through Stanford University accelerator program (StartX) in 2013. Linknovate helps its clients with “data analytics” to detect activity about the companies they care about (newcomers, startups, competitors, potential partners). Its product, Linknovate.com, is a “discover engine” (i.e. Google for innovation). It aggregates more data sources than any solution available worldwide and structures these heterogeneous data sources (i.e. scientific publications, research trends, patenting activity, funding activity, news’ analysis, EU and US grants, and others), to provide data-driven visualisations. This helps its clients run fast “technology mapping” and monitor other companies activity.

Manuel is Linknovate.com CEO since 2014, led the company to win the 1st prize of Finodex (EU Open Data Accelerator) in early 2016, and four European H2020 grants in 2015-2018.
